Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Knights vs. Lexington Minutemen

Calvary Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 83-37 loss at the hands of the Lexington Minutemen. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 627th, while the Minutemen are ranked 128th).

Leading Lexington to victory were Joe Cheever and Tyler Steffa. Cheever went 8 for 10 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds, while Steffa went 6 of 8 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Blaine Friedmansky, who posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Calvary Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Lexington, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
