Heritage Academy is 0-3 against Liberty Christian Academy since November of 2024 but things could change on Monday. The Warrior are taking a road trip to square off against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
On Tuesday, Heritage Academy humbled Lighthouse Prep Academy with a 70-38 victory. The Warrior haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Nick Kespohl had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up 27 points and seven boards. Those 27 points gave him a new career-high. Kylen Larson was another key player, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Liberty Christian Academy on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Wellsville-Middletown out of the water with a 79-27 final score. The Eagles pushed the score to 69-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had no chance of recovering from.
Liberty Christian Academy's win came from a few key players Heritage Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Phoenix Obermann, who went 8-for-17 to rack up 20 points in addition to eight steals and five assists. His big performance that evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Willy Mueller, who shot 56% from the field en route to 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Liberty Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive contests.
Heritage Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their record is now 5-0.
Monday's game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Kespohl and Obermann. Kespohl has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 16.8 points and 6.2 boards. For his part, Obermann has averaged 21.8 points, 5.4 steals, and 4.4 assists on 52.4% shooting.
Heritage Academy lost to Liberty Christian Academy on the road by a decisive 84-65 margin in their previous matchup last Thursday. Can the Warrior avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
