Alvord waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Chico Dragons get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alvord's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Chico, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12-2 record this season.

Alvord will have a chance to go back-to-back against Chico: the pair will be back at it again later today.
