Hill had won 12 straight home games dating back to last season and Ava Evans did her part to make it 13 on Monday. The Falcons slipped by the Piedmont Hills Pirates 13-12 for which the team can thank Evans, who rushed for 75 yards and one TD. She was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards.

Hill's record is now 8-4. As for Piedmont Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hill will challenge rival Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Falcons 13.2, the Chargers 13.4) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills is set to square off against their familiar foe Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
