Madison Plains hadn't done well against Greeneview recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Golden Eagles came out on top against the Rams by a score of 13-8. This was payback for the Golden Eagles, who suffered a 9-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Stoughton went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Sharpe went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That's the most RBI Stoughton has posted since back in April. Paul Madden was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Madison Plains was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in three consecutive games.

Madison Plains' record is now 15-5. As for Greeneview, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 14-5 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rams beat Madison Plains by a score of 13-11 later that day.
