Marist waltzed into their game on Friday with 18 straight wins... but they left with 19. They walked away with a 73-60 win over the Sandburg Eagles. Given the RedHawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Eagles are ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marist's victory was their 28th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 31-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points over those games. As for Sandburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Marist nor Sandburg have any future games scheduled.
