Basketball Recap: Nebraska Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Nebraska Christian won against Riverside on Friday with 46 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Nebraska Christian Eagles walked away with a 46-35 victory over the Burwell Longhorns. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Burwell's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jessica Dawe, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Dawe continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Mann, who earned eight points and three steals.

Nebraska Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. As for Burwell, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Nebraska Christian will head out on the road to face off against Palmer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Burwell, they will be playing at home against Heartland Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
