Glendale Prep Academy piles up the points against Phoenix Christian

The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 54-17 victory over Phoenix Christian. Given Glendale Prep Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Phoenix Christian is ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Senna Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Maddie Caspers was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.

Glendale Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Phoenix Christian, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-8 record last season and are now at 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glendale Prep Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Scottsdale Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Phoenix Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Phoenix Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Phoenix Country Day will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
