Volleyball Game Preview: Marist RedHawks vs. Lincoln-Way East Griffins

The Marist RedHawks will face off against the Lincoln-Way East Griffins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marist will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Marist was able to grind out a solid win over Sandburg, taking the game 2-0.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Lincoln-Way East rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Chargers.

Lincoln-Way East easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21.

Marist better keep an eye on Maggie Simon. She was instrumental in Lincoln-Way East's win, getting 15 assists. Simon has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last five times she's played.

Marist's win bumped their record up to 31-5. As for Lincoln-Way East, their victory bumped their record up to 29-8.

Marist beat Lincoln-Way East 2-0 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the RedHawks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
