Basketball Recap: Hurricane Comes Up Short

Hurricane lost against Desert Hills back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hurricane Tigers took a blow against the Desert Hills Thunder, falling 61-33. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hurricane lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Callie Hughes, who posted four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Durant, who put up two points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Hurricane smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Hurricane's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Desert Hills, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Hurricane has already played their next matchup (against Desert Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Desert Hills is taking a road trip to challenge Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Hills is facing Crimson Cliffs at the right time seeing as Crimson Cliffs is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
