Softball Game Preview: Warren County Eagles vs. KIPP P Pride

Warren County is a perfect 4-0 against KIPP P since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Warren County will welcome KIPP P at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Warren County has four straight wins, KIPP P has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If Warren County beats KIPP P with 21 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Warren County blew past Northwest Halifax 21-6 on Thursday. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

The team relied heavily on Mariah Harris, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was ZaKiyah Macklin, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, KIPP P didn't have quite enough to beat Wilson Prep on Friday and fell 9-7.

Warren County's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for KIPP P, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
