Soccer Game Preview: Fairview vs. Jasper

The Fairview Aggies will venture away from home to face off against the Jasper Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fairview will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Fairview proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by four) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past Arab 4-3. Given Fairview's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Arab are ranked 156th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Jasper hadn't done well against Leeds recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Greenwave. The result was nothing new for Jasper, who have now won seven matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Fairview pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four contests. As for Jasper, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5-1.
