After losing to Kearny the last time they met, Clairemont decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Chieftains put the hurt on the Komets with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Chieftains not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 24, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-7, 25-20.

Clairemont moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Kearny, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Clairemont will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Morse at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kearny, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on O'Farrell Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
