Yorktown and Washington-Liberty are an even 4-4-2 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Patriots will challenge the Generals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Monday, Yorktown didn't have quite enough to beat Woodson and fell 2-1. Yorktown have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Washington-Liberty kept a clean sheet against Langley on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Saxons 1-0.

Yorktown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-4. As for Washington-Liberty, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

Yorktown skirted past Washington-Liberty 2-1 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
