Davis's Blake Summers rumbled for the longest rushing play in 2A District 4 this season in his game against Lexington last week. Summers ran for 71 yards on the play and finished with 232 on the day as his team defeated the Bulldogs.
Davis added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Lexington, 48-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for Jody Weber's team.
Summers was a beast in the backfield as the Wolves bested Jeff Hall's team.
Summers was a passing and rushing force as Davis bested the Bulldogs. He completed 3 passes for 33 yards and also ran for 232 yards. Summers' favorite target this week was Paxton Killblane, who caught 2 passes for 30 yards.
Zac Floyd threw for 183 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 11-21 with 0 interceptions.
Floyd put up the best numbers in passing as Tishomingo topped Coalgate. Floyd's favorite target this week was DeVante Lawson, who caught 4 passes for 56 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Rilee Baker. The Tishomingo star has 10 catches for 221 yards.
As it stands, the Wolves are in first, while Marietta is in third.
Lexington lost to Davis 48-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
