Softball Recap: Southern Lehigh Comes Up Short

Southern Lehigh lost against Northampton back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Southern Lehigh Spartans took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northampton Konkrete Kids. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southern Lehigh got a big performance out of Lila Padden, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Torey Ritter, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Even though they lost, Southern Lehigh was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Southern Lehigh's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Southern Lehigh wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-9 victory against Pleasant Valley on the 14th. As for Northampton, they will venture away from home to take on Easton Area at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give Northampton their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
