Preview: Boulder Creek Jaguars vs. Ironwood Eagles

Boulder Creek has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the Ironwood Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Boulder Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.

Even though Smoky Hill scored an imposing 69 points, Boulder Creek still came out on top. Boulder Creek enjoyed a cozy 83-69 win over Smoky Hill. The victory was just what Boulder Creek needed coming off of a 82-57 loss in their prior contest.

Boulder Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeehzus Pagan, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Andrew Bhesania, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Ironwood on the road against North Canyon on Thursday as the team secured a 80-44 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ironwood.

Blake Carabio had a dynamite game for Ironwood, scoring 29 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Carabio has scored at least 25% of Ironwood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of I'yar Shadowvine, who scored 8 points along with 11 assists.

JSerra Catholic's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Boulder Creek's loss dropped theirs to 1-1.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Boulder Creek and Ironwood are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Boulder Creek hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 63.3 points per game. However, it's not like Ironwood struggles in that department as they've been even better at 80.5 per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run up the score up higher Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.

Boulder Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Ironwood when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 66-60 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Ironwood's Leonard Romayor, who scored 7 points along with 6 assists and 4 steals. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for Boulder Creek to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
