Baseball Game Preview: Central Linn Cobras vs. Mohawk Indians

For the second straight game, Central Linn will face off against Mohawk. The Cobras will venture away from home to challenge the Indians at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Linn is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Mohawk hit Central Linn with a eight-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cobras lost 14-3 to the Indians.

For Mohawk's part, Justin Cassidy and Forrest Yarbrough made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Cassidy pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Yarbrough tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Cassidy went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Yarbrough went 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Cassidy has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caleb Ogg, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Langley, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and one RBI.

Central Linn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Mohawk, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-16.
