Basketball Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

Freeport saw some tournament action on Monday. They were dealt a 77-44 loss at the hands of the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones.

Freeport's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-11. As for Elizabethton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freeport will face off against Blountstown at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Elizabethton, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sullivan East at 6:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
