            Basketball Recap: Cuffee/St. Patrick Academy vs. North Providence Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Cuffee/St. Patrick Academy played a tough  contest  on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt  a  72-30 defeat at the hands of the North Providence Cougars. Cuffee/St. Patrick Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  42-6.
  Makenna Heon had a dynamite game for North Providence,  going 10 for 17  on her way to 24  points in addition to six  assists and five  steals. With that strong performance,  Heon is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of  Yaileen Rodriguez, who  went 5 of 6  on her way to 10 points and six  rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Cuffee/St. Patrick Academy and  nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for North Providence,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cuffee/St. Patrick Academy will head out to  square off against Central  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for North Providence, they will venture away from home to  take on Mt. Pleasant  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. North Providence is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7  points per game  this season.
