Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Mundelein

Mundelein had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Lake Forest Scouts by a score of 2-0. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Scouts, too.

Mundelein easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21.

Jarrett Chico paced Mundelein's offense, picking up seven kills. Chico got some help from Zack Nocera and his 22 assists. Chico was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Mundelein's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-4. As for Lake Forest, they moved to 9-25 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mundelein will square off against Grayslake Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Forest, they will challenge Glenbrook North at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Scouts are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
