Softball Recap: Kennebunk Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Kennebunk walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Biddeford Tigers on Thursday, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since May 14th.

The result came thanks to Juliann Pike's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

Kennebunk hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Biddeford struck out 12 times.

Kennebunk has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Biddeford, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-6 record.

As of now, neither Kennebunk nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
