Softball Recap: Maywood CES Takes a Loss

Maywood CES lost against Maywood Academy on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolfpack came up short against the Nighthawks, falling 17-3. The game marked the Wolfpack's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Maywood CES saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Santiago, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Maywood CES and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Maywood Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Maywood CES has already played their next contest, a 22-0 defeat against Marquez on the 7th. As for Maywood Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-0 win against Elizabeth on the 7th.
