Baseball Recap: Calumet Christian Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Calumet Christian's offense. They came up short against the Chicago Christian Knights on Saturday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Calumet Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Thursby, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Calumet Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Chicago Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-9.

Coming up, Calumet Christian is taking a road trip to face off against Kouts at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chicago Christian, they will take on South Bend Riley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
