Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Somerville). They came out on top against the Revere Patriots by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Somerville's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Revere are ranked 31st).

Somerville's win bumped their record up to 3-4-3. As for Revere, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerville will host Chelsea at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Chelsea will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Somerville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Revere, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Lynn Classical at 4:15 p.m.
