Baseball Recap: Eight Straight Road Wins for South Sumter

South Sumter's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They skirted past the South Lake Eagles 6-4. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 5-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Gabe Sabilona, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those triples marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Ismael Rodriguez, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI.

South Sumter pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
