Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Christian Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Lakeland Christian Academy won the last time they faced Grace Christian Academy and Jordan Gerster did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lions put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory on Friday for which the team can thank Gerster, who had 11 assists and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

While Lakeland Christian Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-24, 25-12.

The win made it two in a row for Lakeland Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 5-8. As for Grace Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Lakeland Christian Academy will square off against Faith Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grace Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Joshua Christian at 6:30 p.m. on October 7.
