Softball Recap: Milford Takes a Loss

Milford came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 17-3 to the Smyrna Eagles. On the bright side, the three- run performance marked the Buccaneers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Milford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ri Adams, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Milford's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Smyrna, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milford will challenge Sussex Central at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Smyrna, they will welcome Sussex Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Ravens have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
