Soccer Recap: Turlock Drops Highest Score of Season Against Modesto

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Turlock). Everything went their way against the Modesto Panthers on Wednesday as the Turlock Bulldogs made off with a 6-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Modesto with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sebastian Carbajal (2), Kurtis Silveira (2), Manuel Ocegueda, and Mario Chavez.

The victory (which was Turlock's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three games. As for Modesto, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-9-2 record this season.

Turlock will square off against Downey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Turlock has won three straight at home, while Downey won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Modesto, they will take on Enochs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Enochs' defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Modesto's offense will have their work cut out for them.
