Basketball Game Preview: Duxbury Dragons vs. Marshfield Rams

Duxbury hasn't had much luck against Marshfield recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Duxbury Dragons will take on the Marshfield Rams at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Duxbury is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of Pembroke by a score of 73-71 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Dragons have suffered since February 9, 2024.

Meanwhile, Marshfield is still undefeated this season after their contest against Plymouth South on Monday, but Plymouth South came as close as anyone has to beating them. Marshfield had just enough and edged Plymouth South out 71-69.

Duxbury now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Marshfield, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Duxbury came up short against Marshfield when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 89-84. Can Duxbury avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
