Volleyball Game Preview: Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits vs. Lakewood Lancers

The Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits will head out on the road to take on the Lakewood Lancers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Long Beach Poly is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, Long Beach Poly made easy work of Jordan and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Long Beach Poly was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-9, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Lakewood got the win against Cabrillo on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lakewood took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-8, 25-6.

Long Beach Poly's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Lakewood, their victory bumped their record up to 9-20.

Everything went Long Beach Poly's way against Lakewood in their previous meeting back in September, as Long Beach Poly made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jackrabbits since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
