Basketball Recap: Cameron Comes Up Short

Cameron lost against Prescott back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cameron Comets fell to the Prescott Cardinals 55-49. While the Comets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cardinals 17-7 in the first quarter.

Leading Prescott to victory were Teddy Bernick and Kobe Russell. Bernick went 5 for 12 en route to 18 points, while Russell went 5 of 11 to rack up 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Cameron's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Prescott, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Cameron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-44 win against Spooner on the 7th. As for Prescott, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-50 victory against Altoona on the 11th.
