The Century Centurions will venture away from home to face off against the Benton Rangers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Century's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Carrier Mills-Stonefort with a sharp 15-0 win. The Centurions haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Kali Crain made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Crain was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hayden Anderson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Baylea Crain, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Benton). They were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over Zeigler-Royalton on Saturday.
Avery Thomas (2027) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Benton got a massive performance out of McKenna Drew, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those triples marked the first that Drew hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Webb (2025), who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Benton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win got Benton back to even at 2-2. As for Century, their record now sits at 2-0.
