The Baker Gators will venture away from home to challenge Santa Rosa Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Baker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.

Baker fell victim to Jay and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Royals, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Gators have suffered since February 11th.

Meanwhile, Santa Rosa Christian came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Gladiators with a sharp 22-0 win. Santa Rosa Christian's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Santa Rosa Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Baker took their win against Santa Rosa Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 16-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
