Flag Football Game Preview: Pacific Collegiate Pumas vs. Marina Mariners

The Pacific Collegiate Pumas will take on the Marina Mariners at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Pacific Collegiate 2.2, Marina 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Pacific Collegiate's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over Seaside. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Pumas' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Spartans are ranked 709th).

Meanwhile, Marina suffered their biggest defeat since September 24, 2024 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Pajaro Valley 33-2.

Marina's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Pacific Collegiate, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Pacific Collegiate strolled past Marina when the teams last played back in September by a score of 18-0. Will the Pumas repeat their success, or do the Mariners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
