Mountain House skates past Johansen with ease

Recap: Mountain House Mustangs vs. Johansen Vikings

The Mountain House Mustangs entered their tilt with the Johansen Vikings with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Mountain House blew past Johansen 81-46 on the road. Given Mountain House's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while Johansen is ranked 851st), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jordan Assefa went supernova for Mountain House, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Assefa also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Gabriel Williams was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Mountain House has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Johansen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Mountain House will head out on the road to face off against Los Banos at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Johansen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ceres at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
