Softball Recap: Wauconda Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Warren Township, Wauconda was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 13-9 victory over Grant Community. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Wauconda considering their one-run performance the game before.

Ellary Nick was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Alyssa Threde was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Wauconda always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Wauconda's win bumped their record up to 7-22. As for Grant Community, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-13-1 record this season.
