Preview: Manning Monarchs vs. Waccamaw Warriors
The Manning Monarchs will be playing at home against the Waccamaw Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Manning's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 61-43 to Georgetown.
Manning's defeat came about despite a quality game from Tavion Carter, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Jeffrey Ceasar was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Waccamaw ended up a good deal behind Loris on Monday and lost 52-37. Waccamaw has struggled against Loris recently, as their contest on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Manning has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Waccamaw, they bumped their record down to 5-13 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Manning took their win against Waccamaw when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 66-44. Will Manning repeat their success, or does Waccamaw have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
