Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jordyn Lawson and Kensley Shanahan Lead Mobile Christian to Victory + How To Watch

Mobile Christian won the last time they faced Faith Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Leopards skirted past the Rams 3-2.

Mobile Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 20-25, 25-15, 26-24, 15-4.

Leading Mobile Christian to victory were Kensley Shanahan and Jordyn Lawson. Shanahan had 11 digs and five aces, while Lawson had ten digs and one assist. Those five aces gave Shanahan a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Mobile Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They served four more aces than Faith Academy's also-impressive total of ten.

Despite the loss, Faith Academy still got an impressive performance from Kyleigh Grosz, who had 18 digs and two aces.

Mobile Christian pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Faith Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Mobile Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Spanish Fort on the 28th. As for Faith Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against St. Luke's Episcopal on the 28th.
