Softball Recap: SouthLake Christian Academy vs. Langtree Charter Lions

SouthLake Christian Academy put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Monday. They blew past the Langtree Charter Lions 20-5. SouthLake Christian Academy's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ava Sherard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Sherard was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, SouthLake Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Alexis Keeter, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. James hasn't dropped below two stolen bases for four straight games.

The win got SouthLake Christian Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Langtree Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

SouthLake Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on Metrolina Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Langtree Charter, they will head out on the road to square off against Lincoln Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
