Basketball Recap: Plant Piles Up the Points Against Alonso

Plant had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 58-13 win over the Alonso Ravens. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Plant was led to victory by Mallina Hubbard and Madelyn Galuski. Hubbard went 8 for 10 en route to 16 points, while Galuski posted 12 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Hubbard a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Sanae Graham, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points and seven boards.

Plant smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Plant's record now sits at 12-13. As for Alonso, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-20.

Plant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-53 loss against Sumner on the 6th. Alonso does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
