Soccer Recap: Vance Charter Takes a Loss

Vance Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions. While losing is never fun, Vance Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Excelsior Classical Academy are ranked 92nd).

Vance Charter now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.

Coming up, Vance Charter is taking a road trip to square off against Henderson Collegiate at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vance Charter will be up against Henderson Collegiate's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.63 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Northern Durham on the 26th.
