Football Recap: Booneville Takes a Loss

Booneville scored first but ultimately less than Ozark in their match on Friday. They took a 34-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillbillies. While the Bearcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hillbillies 7-0 in the first quarter.

A big part of Ozark's victory came down to the chemistry between Cade Capp and his top target Colten Rosson. Capp rushed for 57 yards and one TD while Rosson picked up 38 receiving yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Capp has posted since back in September of 2024.

Booneville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ozark, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Booneville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Paris at 7:00 p.m. As for Ozark, they will challenge Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
