Elkin is 2-8 against Alleghany since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Elkin Buckin' Elks will be playing at home against the Alleghany Trojans at 8:00 p.m.

Elkin is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Starmount. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Buckin' Elks have suffered since December 20, 2023.

Meanwhile, Alleghany had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They walked away with a 65-56 win over the Cardinals.

Alleghany pushed their record up to 11-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Elkin, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
