Basketball Recap: Bossier Wins Going Away Against Loyola College Prep

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southwood, Bossier was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Loyola College Prep Flyers with a sharp 52-31 win. Given the Bearkats' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Flyers are ranked 1500th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bossier's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-17. As for Loyola College Prep, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bossier will face off against Northwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwood will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Bossier surely won't give up without a fight. Loyola College Prep has already played their next match (against Woodlawn-Shreveport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
