Baseball Recap: Mount Calvary Christian Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Mount Calvary Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Annville-Cleona Dutchmen 5-4. That's two games straight that the Chargers have won by just one run.

Mount Calvary Christian's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Logan Stewart, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Mount Calvary Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Annville-Cleona, they dropped their record down to 8-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Mount Calvary Christian will venture away from home to take on Lancaster County Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
