Football Game Preview: PikeView Panthers vs. Shady Spring Tigers

PikeView is 1-9 against Shady Spring since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for PikeView after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 38-22 bruising from Westside. The loss put an end to the Panthers' undefeated start to the season.

PikeView's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Braydon Mullins, who rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, and Peyton Mounts, who rushed for 31 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Shady Spring took a blow against Nicholas County two weeks ago, falling 46-14.

Having lost for the first time this season, PikeView fell to 2-1. As for Shady Spring, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
