Basketball Game Preview: New London Wildcats vs. Western Reserve Roughriders

New London is 2-8 against Western Reserve since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The New London Wildcats will be playing at home against the Western Reserve Roughriders at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, New London came up short against Margaretta and fell 43-32. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Western Reserve was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell to Mapleton 37-31. The matchup was a 13-13 toss-up at halftime, but the Roughriders couldn't quite close it out.

Western Reserve's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for New London, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Everything came up roses for New London against Western Reserve in their previous matchup back in February, as the squad secured a 54-21 victory. Does New London have another victory up their sleeve, or will Western Reserve turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
