Charlotte Latin put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Greater Cabarrus S Stallions. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won eight matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Sydney Thune made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Caroline Coble was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Grogan, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Charlotte Latin's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Greater Cabarrus S, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charlotte Latin will host Charlotte Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greater Cabarrus S, they will welcome Gray Stone Day at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
