Basketball Game Preview: Sunny Hills Lancers vs. Sierra Vista Dons

The Sunny Hills Lancers will take on the Sierra Vista Dons in a tournament on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Monday, Sunny Hills earned a 61-53 win over Mark Keppel.

Sunny Hills' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ze'Brien Watkins, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave Watkins a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Raeden Bobadilla, who made all 7 shots he took to post 18 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sierra Vista). They blew past Calvary Chapel 73-30 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Dons with their most commanding win of the season.

Sunny Hills has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Sierra Vista, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
